Teachers on Wheels’ Career'd Program consists of three modules, namely weekly Careers Webinars, Resume Assessment, and Career Coaching. Our program is designed to equip young people with the knowledge they need to make informed study and career choices and ensure they are ready for the future of work. In particular, we assist young people from culturally and linguistically diverse or disadvantaged backgrounds who need career guidance or assistance in finding employment. We address the specific career challenges young people face, including a lack of awareness of career options available to them, how to frame their life experiences as a career strength, and how to deal with language and cultural barriers when seeking employment.

When it comes to job security, Australians under 30 have been hit hardest by COVID-19.

21% were stood down or made redundant, or lost their job or business. 30% experienced a drop in income.

That's why Teachers on Wheels is providing free career services to help young Australians get their careers back on track. As part of our Career'd program, we've been running weekly careers webinars with guest speakers from a range of industries, exploring topics such as the latest technologies that could transform the world of work, how to perform well in job interviews, and how to excel in particular industries. We also have an online resume review service and an upcoming mentoring program that we can't wait to launch!

But we need a little help from you to make sure our program can continue running. Your donation will help us cover expenses such as a Zoom video conferencing subscription to run our webinars and mentoring sessions, as well as the cost of expanding our resume review service to help more people.

Any amount you can give will help us equip young Australians facing unemployment, job insecurity and financial uncertainty with the skills, knowledge and support they need to thrive in the workforce.
